Residency Program Independent Pathway

The independent model follows the more traditional pathway and is designed for applicants who are board-eligible in general surgery, although candidates with other backgrounds will be considered if they meet the requirements of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Applicants must have completed the general surgery requirements stipulated by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and approved by the Committee of Credentials.

Outstanding residents fulfilling the pre-plastic surgery requirement including anticipated completion of General Surgery, ENT or Orthopedic residencies may apply for the traditional two years residency training program in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
