The Resident Cosmetic Clinic at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is a feature of the Department of Plastic Surgery which provides the chief residents an educational opportunity for clinical training in the field of cosmetic surgery. The clinic offers a long list of cosmetic surgery procedures performed at numerous institutions by the plastic surgery chief residents proctored by both full time and clinical faculty. The clinic gives the resident hands-on experience with the cosmetic surgery patient from their pre-operative evaluation through their operation to the post-operative visit. The residents are given significant responsibility in the care of their patients and have full faculty support with every case.
